India to hold Technology Exhibition in Vientiane
(KPL) The first Indian Trade and Technology Exhibition will be held at the Lao-International Trade Exhibition & Convention Centre (ITECC) on 14-17 November. The event will be organized by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in cooperation with the Lao Department of Production and Trade Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
They also will organize a business forum for the entrepreneurs of Laos and India. Many prominent companies from India known for mining, hydropower like WAPCOS, TATA International, TATA Steel, TATA Motors, Boving Fouress Limited, Angelique and Gimpex are likely to display their products and technologies at the exhibition.
The dates for the exhibition were chosen very carefully. 14th November is the birthday of the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. It is also the date when major Indian consumer exhibition “Indian International Trade Fair” is inaugurated annually in New Delhi. The exhibition also coincides with a major festival of Laos, That Luang festival. It will conclude on 17th November with the magnificent display of aerobatics by a group of aircraft from the Indian Air Force.
It is the first time an air show of this nature will be held in Laos. About 14 aircraft will be taking part in the show, which will make different formations in the sky with colour smoke and flight patterns.
The Indian exhibition will also provide stage for a very unique cultural show from India, a puppet group that will perform Ramayana (Phralak Phralam) throughout the period of exhibition.
