Wrestlers to compete in international competitions in Russia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Freestyle wrestlers have left for Russia to compete in the "Shahtyorskaya Slava" first international tournament that will run September 26-27 in Kemerovo city, Russia. These events are expected to bring together some 160 wrestlers from Bulgaria, Belarus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Germany and some republics and oblasts of the Russian Federation. The best will be awarded with a Japan-made car. After this tournament, the Mongolians will participate in the 6th Grand Prix international tournament named after D.P.Korkin, a State Honored Coach of former Soviet Union and very first Olympic champion from Yakutia. With a prize fund of USD 63 thousand, the upcoming competitions will take place October 5-6 in Yakutia, Russia. The Mongolian team has comprised B.Monkhbat, B.Nomin (men’s 55kg), B.Osokhbayar (60 kg), D.Khatanbaatar (66 kg), D.Gombodorj, P.Onorbat (74 kg), M.Mendsaikhan (84 kg), N.Zolboo and E.Oyunbold (120 kg). They are coached by I.Molomjamts, a coach at the “Arslan” club. Two Mongolians will judge this competition as well.
