Kh.Tsolmonbaatar becomes senior world champion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A veteran wrestler Kh.Tsolmonbaatar has won a gold medal at the Veteran Wrestling World Championship which started October 1 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He competed in the Greco-Roman contest of men’s 130 kg weight category of "A" class and became champion, beating his opponents from Belgium and Russia. It has become the third medal for Mongolia in the Veteran World Championships--previous two "golds" were grabbed by the State Honored Sportman Ts.Natsagdorj in 1995 and 1996. This year’s World Championship have brought together senior wrestlers from Azerbaijan, USA, Great Britain, Argentina, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Russia, South Africa, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, India and Estonia. The competitions will last until October 6.
