System of post-graduation training for medical experts to be reformed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A working group meeting titled "Reforming post-graduation training system for medical experts" last Saturday took place in the Center of Open Society Forum (OSF). It was held in frames of the #4 Development Programme for Health Sector which is being co-implemented by the Ministry of Health and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Chaired by J.Amarsanaa, the Vice Minister of Health, the meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Development Center for Health and the Mongolian State University of Health Sciences and other related organizations. A discussion was held among the participants on refining upon the post-graduation training on health sciences, and an ADB delegate and consultant of the World Health Organization (WHO) Mr Renato Galleazzi delivered a report the gathered. The Vice Minister J.Amarsanaa emphasized an importance of improving the Mongolia's post-graduation training system in accordance with the world standards, and the main purpose of the health sector actions of Mongolia is to satisfying quality service and ensuring satisfaction of consumers. He also put forward a proposal to boost the cooperation among the organizations engaged in the post-graduation of medical experts, and then touched upon issues of forming data of alumni of medical professionals and improving the legal environment.
