UAE ranks first among non-oil imports from Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi: The UAE topped the list among the countries in non-oil imports from Saudi Arabia, followed by China and Singapore. The State imports stood at 14.74 per cent, China with 13.10 per cent, and the Singapore at 6.23 per cent. The Saudi Press Agency, (SPA) reported that the Kingdom's non-oil exports for the second quarter in 2013 amounted to SR 51,536 million, an increase by 6.3% in comparison to the same period of the last year. Quoting the Department of Statistics and Information of Saudi Arabia the agency said that the exports included petrochemical products, plastics and rubber, and transport equipment. The Kingdom's imports for the second quarter of 2013 amounted to SR 167,258 million, an increase by 11.2% in comparison to the same period of the year, 2012.
