Veteran wrestlers win two medals at world championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Our team has brought home two medals from the Veteran World Wrestling Championship. A "gold" has been grabbed by Kh.Tsolmonbaatar, a bronze medal by Sh.Bayanmonkh. The events ran October 1-6 in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. At the first day of tournament, Mr Tsolmonbaatar became the champion in the Greco-Roman contest of men's 130 kg weight category of "A" class, beating opponents from Belgium and Russia. His teammate Sh.Bayanmonh lost to Georgian Tamaz Gergely and Russian S.Fonarev at the first and third rounds, before beating Hungarian and Turkish wrestlers at the fourth and fifth rounds to grab a "bronze" at the last day of the events. By the way, he won one silver and two bronze medals at the same tournament in 2009 and 2012. This year's World Championship brought together senior wrestlers from Azerbaijan, USA, Great Britain, Argentina, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Russia, South Africa, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, India and Estonia.
