Foreign Minister meets vice president of Asia Foundation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Foreign affairs Minister L.Bold Thursday received Ms Suzanne E.Siskel, the Executive vice president and chief officer for the Asia Foundation. Mr Bold congratulated the Vice president on the 20th anniversary of the Asia Foundation Permanent Representative's Office in Mongolia, and underlined that the Foundation's programs here play a tangible role in the democracy and development of the country. In response, Ms Siskel expressed a gratitude for the President Elbegdorj's congratulation letter to David Arnold, a head of the Asia Foundation, and briefed on celebration events which are expected October 7-11. "They include a roundtable discussion on the development of the women's movement in Mongolia, a national seminar on fostering civil engagement at the sub national level, a plenary discussion on green development and smart consumption, and a photography contest,' she said. Since 1993, the Asia Foundation has run here projects and programs of 40 million USD.
