Iran Min., IMF Officials Meet In Washington

Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA – Irans Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyeb-nia held talks with a number of executive managers of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on Sunday. The meeting was held on the sideline of the three-day International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) 2013 annual meetings which kicked off in Washington on October 11. During the meeting, Iran's subsidy reform plan and its effects on the economy were discussed. The Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) each year bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness./end
