State Auditor Temporarily Dismissed Over Alleged Role In Wife's murder

Seminyak, Bali, Oct 17 (Antara) - Gatot Supiartono, a high ranking official with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), has been temporarily dismissed in view of investigations into the murder of his second wife, Holly Angela Hayu. "The dismissal is aimed to give him time to concentrate on the murder investigation," said State Senior Auditor Saprudin Mosi here on Thursday. Holly was found murdered in an apartment in West Jakarta last month. On October 16, the Jakarta Metropolitan police named Gatot a suspect in the case. Gatot allegedly paid a freelance driver, identified as Surya, who recruited some friends to kill Holly. The friends have been identified as P, AL, R and Elriski Yudhistira. Elriski is believed to have fallen to his death from Holly`s ninth floor apartment balcony after the murder. According to investigators, Surya and his friends had been planning Holly`s murder since August. They hired a room on the sixth floor of the building where Holly lived and even managed to make a duplicate key to her apartment. The five men planned to ambush Holly inside her apartment, police said. However, when they finally assaulted her, she was on the phone with her foster mother. Her foster mother called the apartment`s security and Holly`s friend to check on her. In panic, the men and tried to escape from Holly`s balcony to an apartment below. That was when Elriski fell off the balcony and died. AL was arrested in Bojonggede, Depok, on Tuesday (October 8), while Surya was arrested in Karawang, West Java, on Monday (October 7). Based on investigations, two more persons are known to have been involved in Holly`s murder. Police have launched a search for them.
