Supreme Leader pardons, commutes sentences of 1,241 prisoners

TEHRAN, Oct. 21(MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei pardoned and commuted the sentences of 1,241 prisoners, reports said on Sunday. Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani had previously made a proposal to grant clemency to a number of inmates on the occasions of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Qadir.
