Larijani Urges Iran, Ghana To Use Capacities To Enhance Ties

Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran and Ghana enjoy enormous capacities in international arena that can be used for promotion of bilateral relations. Larijani made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Ghanaian counterpart Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho in Tehran on Monday. The Majlis speaker described Tehran-Accra relations as good and friendly, calling on both countries to make use of abundant capacities to further promote bilateral ties. Referring to existing grounds for joint investment in Ghana, Larijani said that Iran can provide Ghana with technical and engineering services. Larijani said that given the determination of Iranian and Ghanaian parliaments to promote ties, he is hopeful that parliamentary relations between the two countries would further expand in the future. The Ghanaian parliament speaker, for his part, said “We live in a global village and no government can safeguard its national interests alone without cooperation with other countries.” Adjaho stressed the need for enhanced parliamentary relations between Iran and Ghana along with expansion of relations between the two governments./end
