Mongolian shooting athlete becomes Asian champion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian woman Ts.Monkhzul Tuesday won a gold medal at the 25m rifle/pistol competition of the Sixth Asian Shooting Championship that started in Tehran, Iran on October 18. The Mongolian women team also grabbed a bronze medal at the free pistol class, while the men team came in fourth in the 10m long rifle competition. The most successful athlete of our men team at the Championship was E.Davaakhuu, who became the eighth at the air pistol, and the ninth in the classic pistol. The national team of Mongolia with 29 shooters is participating in men/women long rifle, women pistol, and girls long rifle competitions of the event that will end October 26 with a closing ceremony in Tehran Azadi Sport Complex. This is Ts.Munkhzul’s excellent return to the sports, claiming an Asian Championship title since her daughter’s birth last year.
