Mongolia and Myanmar leaders meet
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Upon arriving in Myanmar with the state visit, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj was officially welcomed by the leader of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr Thein Sein on November 18.
Mr Elbegdorj left his signature on the Book of Honored Guests at the Ceremonial Hall of the Presidential Palace, after this the two Presidents ran a private meeting. Ts.Elbegdorj thanked his Myanmar counterpart for the warm welcome and said he will pay a great deal of attention to a deepening of the bilateral relations and cooperation between our countries.
In response, Mr Sein expressed a gratitude to the Mongolian leader for paying the state visit to Myanmar, "this is the first ever visit to be paid at the level of President since 1956 when we established diplomatic relations, and I hope that it will make a contribution to the bringing of the bilateral relations and collaboration in all sectors to a newer level, especially it will give an impetus to the ties in economy, trade, industry, agriculture, culture and arts spheres".
Present at the ceremony were Mongolian FM L.Bold MP, a Non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Myanmar Ch.Battomor, the Secretary of the National Security Council Ts.Enkhtovshin, a Deputy minister of Economic development O.Chuluunbat, a Chief of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Force Lieutenant-General Ts.Byambajav, an advisor of the President on foreign policy L.Purevsuren, and also Myanmar's Minister of Defence Mr Wai Lwin, the Foreign Minister Mr Wunna Maung Lwin and others.
