Ambassador works in Northern Ireland
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On Monday, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland N.Tulga worked in Belfast city.
He visited there a Parliament Buildings--a home to the Northern Ireland Assembly, the legislative body for Northern Ireland established under the Belfast Agreement 1998 (Good Friday Agreement)--to meet with the Speaker of the Assembly Mr William Hay.
The Ambassador spoke about his country, its policies and economics, impact of mining sector to the economy growth, state policies to be undertaken to improve environment for foreign investments.
In response, Mr Hay thanked Mr Tulga for his visit to Northern Ireland, paid in frames of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the UK, and highlighted Northern Ireland's development, noting that it is possible to boost a collaboration in the agriculture sector.
After the talk Mr Tulga left his signature on the Book of Honored Guests at the Assembly.
The same day, Mr Tulga addressed a painting exhibition themed "Image of Mongolia", dedicated to the diplomatic relations anniversary, at the Parliament Buildings. The action has been run by the Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Northern Ireland Mr Holmes, and is aimed to promote the Mongolian history, traditions, art and culture.
Present at the exhibition were members of the Northern Ireland Assembly, the member of government Mr Bell, Consul-General of the USA and Honorary consuls of Fiji, Czech Republic and Poland.
