Mongolian President welcomed by Vietnamese counterpart
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj was officially welcomed by his Vietnamese counterpart Mr Truong Tan Sang at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi Thursday.
Mr Sang thanked the President Elbegdorj and accompanying him officials for visiting his country, and wished them a pleasant stay there.
He noted the upcoming in 2014 the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed a confidence in a significant impetus this visit will give to the further development of the friendly relations and cooperation.
In response, the leader of Mongolia expressed a pleasure in visiting Vietnam at the invitation by President Sang, and noted that the Mongolia-Vietnam friendly relations have been maintained and fruitfully developed since their establishment during the great leaders’ time.
He expressed a confidence that this visit will strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries and noted his satisfaction with high level talks and visits between Mongolia and Vietnam that have been recurring at regular intervals.
Vietnam is our good partner, who has friendly relations with us, Mr Elbegdorj said. "We see great opportunities to boost our relations in many fields. Our countries have been implementing many projects that the parts agreed upon during the visit by former President of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet in 2008," said the Mongolian leader and expressed a satisfaction in the intensifying relations of the two countries in the defense sector that Mongolia wants to boost with a cooperation in peacekeeping missions.
The President Sang expressed a pleasure in the developing relations between our countries and pledged to make more efforts to strengthen the cooperation.
After that, the President of Vietnam invited his Mongolian counterpart to the official negotiations.
