Expo 2020: Google celebrates win with doodle

Dubai’s World Expo win has been given the Google doodle treatment according to a report in "Khaleej Times". Search engine giant Google has congratulated Dubai for its Expo 2020 bid win by placing a doodle on its home page. Dubai yesterday beat Izmir, Sao Paulo and Ekaterinburg to host the 6-month World Expo 2020, which showcases innovation and encourages cultural exchange. Dubai will be the first Middle East city to host the event. If users hover their cursor over the logo a message, which reads 'congratulations Dubai, winner of Expo 2020', will appear. Google is known to use doodles to mark important days such as festivals, birthdays and anniversaries of celebrities, or landmark achievements, on its home page. – Khaleej Times
