NIOC Chief: Iran To Increase Offshore Gas Output By 500 MCF

Khorramshahr, Dec 7, IRNA -- Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) announced that Iran’s gas production output will considerably increase after launching phase 18 of the South Pars company in the near future. Addressing a visit to South Pars phase 18 platform in the southwestern city of Khorramshahr, Rokneddin Javadi said, “The phases 17 and 16 of South Pars will become operational in land and offshore sections in the first half of next Iranian year (starting March 21, 2014).” “A sum of 500 million cubic feet of gas will be added to Iran’s national gas production capacity by launching Phase 18 of South Pars,” Javadi said./end
