Karzai in Tehran

Kabul, Dec 8, IRNA – Afghan President Hamid Karzai, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Karzai was warmly welcomed by Vice President Mohammad Shariatmadari at Mehrabad airport. Afghan president is to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani and a number of senior Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest during his one-day stay in Tehran . The two neighboring countries have over 1,0000 km joint borderlines and enjoy religious, cultural, lingual, historical and geographical commonalities./end
