Aerobatic performance of Indian fighters thrill Vientiane residents
(KPL) The air show specialist pilots of the Indian Air Force got their fighters to scream and roar over Vientiane’s early evening sky, thrilling the thousands of Vientiane residents who flocked to watch this historic event in the Lao-ITECC area on 17 November.This show of flying skills by the Suryakiran Aerobatics Team on this day was meant to mark the end of the first India Trade and Technology Exhibition held at Lao ITECC from 14-17 November.
It was also meant to mark the 60th anniversary of the Lao People’s Army Day which falls on 20 January 2009 and the anniversary of the India Air Force which falls on 17 November. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Mr Duangchay Phichit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Thongloun Sisoulith and the ambassador of India to Laos, Mr Suresh K, Goel watched the air show.
