MOBILE CLINIC REACHES TO 31 THOUSAND PEOPLE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Some 31 thousand patients have received medical treatment thanks to a Mobile clinic project in two year’s time, the Health Ministry said Thursday. The Ministry and the Czech "People in need" (PIN) NGO intended by the project to increase a medical service access in eastern and western provinces, launching activities in September of 2011. Since then, the project donated ambulances and medical equipment of over 300 million togrog to polyclinics of six provinces, while rendering medical treatment to some 31 thousand people in remote 76 soums. PIN implements humanitarian relief and long term development projects, educational programs, and human rights programs in crisis regions all over the world. Its director is Simon Panek. In 2011, PIN operated in 28 countries. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, PIN runs social integration programs and provides informative and educational activities. The organization aims to promote democratic freedom and principles of human solidarity. Since its foundation in 1992, PIN has had a presence in almost 50 countries. Currently, PIN is one of the largest NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe.
