CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on Saturday, the cabinet backed draft amendments to the laws on crime and criminal procedure. They will be submitted to the State Great Khural (parliament). The draft amendments have the legal regulations of detecting and seizing illicit money capital at banking and financial system, and ceasing the money laundering. - The cabinet decided to realize an "Engineering higher education" project in frames of the Mongolia-Japan intergovernmental middle-term cooperation programme. An obligation was given to the Minister of Education and Sciences to determine demands for the engineering professions based on proposals from Ministries and to make an agreement with the Japanese side on the project's financing and phases. The government considers that this project will contribute to preparing skilled engineering and technical experts who will construct metro in Ulaanbaatar and an international airport in Khoshigt Valley, Tov aimag.
