Entrepreneur-2014 Grand prix goes to Shunkhlai Group

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The annual award event by the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Monday announced the best entrepreneurs of the year. After a careful consideration over 350 candidate entities operating in the country, the Chamber announced the Shunkhlai Group as the Grand Prix winner of this year, recognizing its great achievements in the infrastructure, industry and commerce sectors of the nation. The Grand Prix winner also was awarded with the Business God-Golden Mercury Cup. Shunkhlai’s core business is the imports, retail and wholesale trade, storage and transportation of petroleum products. Currently, Shunkhlai LLC delivers its services through its own network of over 90 gas stations covering Ulaanbaatar and all provinces throughout the country, eight fuel depots for storing petroleum products, trucking company for delivery and distribution of petroleum products, and state accredited in-house laboratory. The company employs over 700 staff, of which 80 percent are experienced professionals with specialist knowledge and expertise in their fields. Under its mission to deliver quality products and services to our customers, the company has built modern and high capacity filling stations, and has been using advanced payment methods, such as “petroleum payment cards” and “fuel coupons”. Moreover, for the first time in Mongolian petroleum industry, it has introduced and are operating fully automated fuel unloading, measuring and loading system at our Ulaanbaatar fuel storage depot. Shunkhlai LLC has been contributing to the economic growth of the country by fueling all the engines for development. Within its mandate to act in a socially responsible way, it has adopted a policy on environmental protection by supporting events and activities to support combating climate change and desertification.
