Over 28 billion kip earmarked for Champa Games
(KPL) More than 28 billion kip will be used for the 8th National Games in Champassak province at the end of this year, in which 15.5 billion kip will be contributed by the government.
The statement was released at the nationwide meeting of the heads of sports committee for the 8th National Games (Champassak Games) opened on 18 November in Champassak province.
Chaired by Mr. Sonesay Siphandone, Governor of Champassak and Chairman of the Organising Committee, the meeting was attended by senior officials concerned, including Dr. Phouthong Seng-akhom, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and Chairman of the National Sports Committee.
During the two-day meeting, the participants have also heard the report on the progress of the preparation for the games by Mr. Somsanith Bouthivong, Deputy-Governor of Champassak.
