Ministry names 2014 as family support year

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Population Development and Social Welfare has designated 2014 as 'a year to support families'. Based on proposals raised up at national seminars, conferences, practical and theoretical meetings which ran in previous years, the ministry announced this year as family support year. The Minister S.Erdene highlighted that a family is not only a foundation to national independence and security, but also a guarantee of country progress. He said that the development of the country depends on population. In this regard, many actions are planned, for example, a national program on supporting family stability and " My family" child development program, establishment of " Family Advice Center" and submission of a redraft of the law on family to the parliament.
