SPEAKER ATTENDS SYMPOSIUM ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold last Saturday worked in Darkhan-Uul aimag, and attended an opening of a symposium themed "Strategy for national development" organized by the Democratic Force. The symposium is not only a regional meeting, but also it is a start of nationwide event for designing the developmental strategy, which is to be in a full harmony with every province, the organizers said. The Speaker made the opening remarks, saying it has become vital to draw up the state policy strategy for 50 years and 100 years in order to maintain a sustainable state policy regardless of political party in a power. "A development of a country is usually measured by its GDP per capita, but in modern time, a national development is more scaled by human development which includes several indicators of population’s health, employment rate and economic productivity, so we see an importance of supporting human development," Mr Enkhbold emphasized. The three-day symposium brought together governors of Orkhon, Selenge, Darkhan-Uul and Tov aimags, and also Citizens’ Representatives of several aimags.
