Gangland mum Williams found dead at home

AAP - The mother of jailed gangland killer Carl Williams has been found dead in a house in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

The body of Barbara Williams was found in a house in Primrose Street, Essendon, on
Saturday, Victoria Police said.
Police spokeswoman Julie-Anne Newman said officers attended the house on a report of
the death of a woman.
"We can confirm the body is that of Barbara Williams," Ms Newman said.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and an autopsy will be carried out."
Ms Newman said she could not confirm the circumstances surrounding Ms Williams'
death, nor any details of who found the body or who raised the alarm.
