Australia-Mongolia Business Council established

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Australia-Mongolia Business Council was registered by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on 28 January of 2014. The Council’s main aims are to promote the mutually beneficial economic, investment and business interests of Mongolia and Australia. Mr Mark Green, International Managing Partner of Minter Ellison Lawyers, has been elected the Chairman of the Council. In recent times, the level of investment into Mongolia from Australia has risen significantly. There are around 30 Australian companies that have established their local office in Mongolia and 170 small-medium sized companies linked with Mongolia. The Embassy of Mongolia in Australia was supportive of establishing a business council initiative from the beginning. Australia-Mongolia Business Council intends to host a number of events in Australia to facilitate the sharing of experiences of doing business in Mongolia.
