PM approves foreign loan plans
Hanoi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Nov. 21 approved the
negotiating results and terms of an agreement regarding a loan from the Asia Development Bank (ADB) to Vietnam 's poverty reduction efforts.
The PM delegated State Bank Governor Nguyen Van Giau to sign the loan
agreement with ADB which is part of the Poverty Reduction Support Credit 5
(PRSC 5).
The ADB has so far provided 52 million USD in total to the PRSC programme,
which is jointly funded by the ADB and the World Bank.
ADB-funded poverty reduction projects in Vietnam focus on promotion of
sustainable development, comprehensive social development and national
governance for the sake of poverty reduction.
In another decision, the PM approved the draft credit agreement with
German bank KFW for a project on improving provincial hospitals.-Enditem.
