CMJ TO COOPERATE WITH UNESCO NATIONAL COMMISSION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (CMJ) will cooperate with the National Commission of Mongolia for UNESCO, and a memorandum of mutual understanding was signed on Tuesday. In accordance with the document, the sides will cooperate in realizing any measures taken in Mongolia by the UNESCO in the fields of education, sciences, culture, information and communication, and in working out and implementing a plan for propagandizing the UNESCO conventions joined by Mongolia, heritage pieces listed in the UNESCO as well as UNESCO remarkable days. The National Commission for UNESCO will render support to the CMJ and provide it with necessary information for expanding the confederation’s foreign relations, improving professional skills of journalists and refining upon their legal environment. The UNESCO’s National Commission will promptly deliver true information and news about its activities for global peace through the media as the CMJ bears a social responsibility. The National Commission of Mongolia for UNESCO serves as a coordinator to develop the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the UNESCO. It also aims to reflect common goals proposed from the organization in the state policy and directions by considering them with the government.
