Mongolian creative artists independently have opened a wax museum named“Great Mongolian Empire”.
This is very first museum for wax art to open in the Mongolian art history, andthis museum collects many wax sculptures of the historical figures such as Chingis Khaan, his mother Ooluun, his Queen Borte; Chingis Khaan’s friend Jamukha, the King’s princes and military generals.
The clothes and items of the sculptures are designed based on the historical findings with help from a group of historians and scholars on the Great Mongolian Empire.The museum shows the generation of Mongolian invasion of the 13th century and also represents lifestyle and culture of the nomads.
It has been planned to enrich the museum with new sculptures of great Kings every year, and the sculptures of young generation of Chingis Khaan, and Subeetei the great general are expected to be created in this year.
