Ambassador visits Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia studio

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Singapore B.Delgermaa Monday visited the “Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia studio” in Johor of Malaysia at invitation of the studio. The studio is making a historical television serial about Marco Polo, an Italian merchant traveler, and Khubilai Khan who was the leader of the Great Mongol Empire between 1272 and 1289. The artists' team, consisting of more than 600 artists from 20 countries, includes Mr Daniel Minahan, famous Hollywood film director known for “Game of Thrones” /2011/, and Mr Richard Sharkey, a producer known for his work on series “The Lord of the Rings”. At the meeting with the Ambassador Ms Delgermaa, a producer Sharkey asked for a support from the Mongolian Embassy to involve Singapore-based Mongolians in serial. Responding to this, the Ambassador thanked the artists for creating historical serial about Mongol Empire and promised to give a comprehensive support to their work.
