MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) - Inflow of foreign cash from Western countries to Ukraine increased sharply after the outbreak of events on Kiev’s Independence Square (the notorious Maidan), Alexander Yakimenko, the former chief of the Security Service of Ukraine said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 channel. “Since the outbreak of the Maidan, we as an intelligence service noted a considerable increase of diplomatic mail that flooded to various foreign Western embassies in Ukraine,” he said. “Its amounts exceeded the normal deliveries of mailings by a factor of dozens of time.” “It’s also noteworthy that cash dollars of the new design began to turn up on the Maidan and in the nearest exchange offices after those supplies,” Yakimenko said. When the interviewer asked him if it meant that cash dollars had been pumped into the country, he gave a positive answer.
