Russia not suspend work on agreements with OECD despite organisation’s decision

MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russia has decided not suspend the work on agreements with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) despite the organisation’s decision. OECD Secretary-General Jose Angel Gurria has informed Russia’s delegation about the organisation’s decision. “Unfortunately, the OECD took a political decision to suspend the procedure of Russia’s accession. There is no doubt that this fact will have an impact on the rates of the accession,” a Russian government official said. Russia has never guaranteed the term of the accession. It realises that much will depend on partners’ position, the official said, adding “We hope that the OECD will revise the decision soon.” ITAR-TASS: Russia to continue working on agreements with OECD despite organization’s decision
