Thai navy fleet visits Cambodia

CHONBURI, THAILAND, March 19 (TNA) - HTMS Krabi, an offshore patrol vessel of the Royal Thai Navy, is paying a visit to Sihanoukville in neighbouring Cambodia, together with a fleet of navy officers and civilians from Thailand's eastern Chantaburi and Trat Provinces, aimed to strengthen relations between the two nations' navy forces. Vice Admiral Weerapun Sukkorn, Chief of the Royal Thai Navy’s First Naval Area Command, presided over a ceremony to send off the Thai navy fleet at Sattahip Navy Base in Chonburi Province in the Thai East on Tuesday. Apart from visiting Sihanoukville, also known as Kampong Som, from March 18-24, 2014, the HTMS Krabi, which is equipped with advance radar technology, is also helping search for a missing Malaysia Airlines plane, Flight MH370.
