INT'L SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON MONGOL STUDIES STARTS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 2nd international scientific conference on new tendencies of the Mongol studies kicked off Friday in the Round Hall of Mongolia's State University (MSU). Organized by the Institute of Mongol Studies at the MSU, this year’s action is dedicated to the 90th birth anniversary of Charles Bowden, a famous British scholar on Mongol studies. It has brought together 20 scholars and scientists from Mongolia, USA, Germany, Poland, Japan, China and Hungary. They are delivering reports on the Mongolian history, culture, society, language and literature. The conference has a vital importance in terms of touching upon urgent problems of Mongol studies, seeking solution, sharing experience and methods of international Mongol studies, cooperating at a foreign ties level, exchanging information, introducing newest documents and methods of the scientific works. The conference will continue until Saturday.
