5th Zebra Dove Singing Competition held in Thai South

NARATHIWAT, THAILAND, March 24 (TNA) - Over 1,000 Thai and Malaysian Zebra Dove owners actively participated in the 5th Zebra Dove Singing Competition, held in Naratiwat Province in the Thai far South on Monday. Naratiwat Governor Nutthapong Sirichaichana presided over the opening ceremony of "The 5th Zebra Dove Singing Competition" at the grounds of the Rue Soh Municipality, amidst 1,000 interested competitors from Thailand's five southernmost provinces of Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani, Songkhla and Satun and those from neighbouring Malaysia. The event was also aimed to help stimulate the local economy of the Thai deep South. Besides, it was said that one of the competing zebra doves is worth well over 10 million baht. The top winner received the Royal Cup presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak. (TNA)
