NBHF organizes cycling race

Manama: March 27 – (BNA): Under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation (NBHF) organizes the first biking race. The Organizing Committee set the time at 1:00 pm for the 30-kilometre race to kick-start on the road leading to Durrat Al-Bahrain. Final preparations have been finalized for this major sports event in collaboration with the relevant sides. Numbers have been allocated to the racers. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized the importance of the race which is one of several key races organized by the NBHF aimed to spread the culture of sports, pointing out that the Foundation is keen to vary its sports programmes in order to engage the largest number of sportspeople especially youths. The NBHF's biking race has been chosen because biking is a very popular sport in addition to the possibility to discover promising, capable talents who would later join national clubs and represent teams in future.
