SCYS Chairman awards winners of NBHF Time Trial Bicycle Race

Manama, Mar. 28. (BNA) -- Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa awarded the winners of Nasser Bin Hamad Foundation (NBHF) Time Trial Bicycle Race held on Durrat Al Bahrain Road yesterday. Around 95 contenders participated in the 30-kilometer race including the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS and President of Bahrain Athletic Association HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and members of Bahrain Triathlon Association (BTA). HH Shaikh Nasser stated that NBHF is keen on organising various leading sport contests, aiming to promote and utilise the noble causes of sports to serve the Bahraini community. He also affirmed that the race is one of the major activities organised by the foundation in its constant endeavors to spread sports culture, especially among the youth. “NBHF will continue organising a variety of sport events to enrich the general sports movement in the kingdom,” said SCYS Chairman, who appreciated the efforts paid by NBHF members for organising a successful race. HH Shaikh Nasser noted to BTA members’ participation, stressing that NBHF Time Trial Bicycle Race is considered as part of the team’s preparations for upcoming contests within and outside Bahrain.
