NA members debate amending inheritance and electricity laws

(KPL) The two amended draft laws on inheritance and electricity yesterday were the centre of the debate on the third-day session of the National Assembly, with an aim to making them comply to the realistic conditions. The amendments are expected to be approved in this session.
In the morning session, NA members brainstormed to improve a number of articles in the inheritance law.
Some agreed and disagreed while some NA members proposed to add more words and cut off so as to make it clear to understand.
The NA members agreed on the name of the law and they proposed to increase its enforcement.
On the same day, the NA members debated and contributed to the amended draft law on electricity to meet the increased production capacity of 680 megawatts.
In 1995, the number of the nationwide total household access to electricity amounted to only 30 percent (200 megawatts) now the number increases to 60 percent. The amendment of this law is to make it more reliable, attractive and favourable for both local and foreign investors to invest in the development of hydropower electricity in the future.
Enforced in 1997, the old version of the law on electricity consisted of 12 chapters, 56 articles while the new one has 11 chapters and 80 articles.
