Moscow dismisses accusations against Syrian govt with alleged use of chemical weapons

MOSCOW, April 25 (Itar-Tass) - Charges with utilization of chemical weapons implicating the Syrian government are being forged but the verified information available to the Russian side suggests that these accusations contradict reality, says a commentary placed at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official website. “Fabrication of charges against the (Syrian) government forces continues,” the commentary says. “They accused of alleged cases where chemical weapons were utilized but verified information available to the Russian government shows that such assertions stand at variance with reality.” “A yet another anti-Syrian ‘chemical’ hysteria prompts one to ask questions about the true goal of its initiators who do not give up attempts to clutch at a pretext for an armed intervention in Syria,” the commentary says. “All of this is taking place at a time when the process chemical demilitarization of the Syrian Arab Republic is proceeding successfully and the removal of components of chemical weapons from the country may be fully rounded up before the established deadline.” Learn more on itar-tass.com
