MALAYSIANS TO CELEBRATE "AIDILADHA" ON DEC 8

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, Engku
Ibrahim Engku Ngah, Thursday announced that Aidiladha (an Islamic festival
celebrated in conjunction with the Haj pilgrimage and to commemorate Prophet
Ibrahim's spirit of sacrifice) for the whole of Malaysia will be celebrated on
Monday, Dec 8.

"Following the order of the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong
(Malaysia's Supreme King), with the consent of the Rulers, the Keeper of the
Rulers' Seal Malaysia declares thatthe first day of Zulhijjah, 1429 Hijrah falls
on Nov 29, 2008.

"As such Aidiladha (10 Zulhijjah) for the whole of Malaysia has been fixed
for Monday, Dec 8," said a statement from the office of the Keeper of the
Malaysian Rulers' Seal.
