MALAYSIAN LADY STILL MISSING IN MUMBAI By P.Vijian
MUMBAI, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- A Malaysian woman who is on a business visit here is missing and is feared trapped in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel which came under attack by terrorists on Wednesday night.
The woman, identified as Hema Kassipillay, 51, who is working for a German
insurance company based in Kuala Lumpur, is believed to be on an official trip
with two of her German colleagues and is staying at the hotel.
"Last night we went to individual hospitals and even private hospitals
searching for her but there is no trace. It is difficult for the consulate
because we have no access to the hotel at the moment," Malaysia's Consul-General
in Mumbai Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah told Bernama.
At least 30 people are feared still trapped in the luxury hotel, along with
three terrorists.
Security forces are expected to carry out a final assault any time Friday
to
weed out the terrorists holed up in the hotel.
According to India's Ministry of Home Affairs, 125 people were killed while
327 were injured in Mumbai over the last two days. Six of them were foreigners.
