Russia hopes for progress at talks with Iran on nuclear transparency

VIENNA, May 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russia hopes progress will be made at talks with Iran on the issues pertaining to the reactor in Arak and on transparency of the Iranian nuclear program, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told reporters here Monday. “Proceeding from Russia’s national understanding of the situation, Arak and transparency are riper than all other items on the agenda for getting primary results on them by Friday,” he said. Ryabkov said along with it that “the issue depends much more on the Iranian delegation than on the Russian delegation.” “We hope the leadership in Teheran has given the entire delegation have the instructions making it possible to move forward,” he said. He said that, on the whole, Russia is content with the work of exports on the Iranian problem. “The experts do hard, effort-consuming, absolutely necessary work that isn’t sensationalist, however,” Ryabkov said. “Success is impossible without it. We’re pleased with what experts have done in New York. This gives us the confidence there’ll be no beating about the bush, to say nothing of rolling back.” Learn more on itar-tass.com
