Massive fire at Bangkok's Bangchan Industrial Estate put under control

BANGKOK, May 14 (TNA) - A massive fire broke out at Bangchan Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Bangkok on late Wednesday afternoon, causing firefighters more than an hour to bring the blaze under control. The fire started at the third floor of a four-storey building in which paint thinner stocks of Saha-Union Public Company Limited (Thailand) were housed at around 4pm and quickly spread to the fourth floor. More than 10 fire engines rushed to the scene and later managed to contain the strong fire, while over 500 workers evacuated safely from the building. No casualties were, thus, reported, while overall damage has not yet been assessed. (TNA)
