Curfew in Thailand not hamper Russian tourists to fly to Russia by nighttime flights

BANGKOK, May 23 (Itar-Tass) - A curfew in Thailand, Southeast Asia, did not hamper Russian tourists to fly timely to Russia by nighttime flights on Friday, director for sales of Sayama Travel company Valentina Malaya told Itar-Tass. “Overnight to Friday we have been sending tourists to the homeland and have been receiving those who arrived. The curfew was introduced in Thailand on May 22 on the whole territory of the country from 10pm until 5am local time. However, the curfew does not spread on people who go abroad or arrived from other countries. The Command for maintaining peace and order has made an announcement to this effect. Travellers should have specific travelling documents, the announcement reads. According to a statement of military forces, the curfew also does not embrace those who should work in the nighttime. These people should receive special permits for movement in the nighttime. “If you should go to an airport during the curfew by a personal car, prepare a ticket and a passport for a check of authorities. If you use public transport, let’s try to come to the airport in advance,” Airports of Thailand company said in a statement. In Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, public transport stopped running after 9pm local time (3pm BST) on Thursday evening. Major trading centres closed an hour before this.
