Iran Stresses Need To Implement WSIS+10 Objectives: Vaezi

Geneva, June 11, IRNA – Visiting Iranian Minister of Communication Mahmoud Vaezi said here Wednesday that Tehran stresses the need to achieve objectives set by the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+10) including growing cooperation between developing countries. Veazi made the remarks during his address to a meeting of the WSIS+10 Multi-stakeholder Preparatory Platform (MPP). The preparatory process is an open and inclusive consultation among WSIS Stakeholders. The minister arrived in the Swiss city on Tuesday evening to attend the meeting of the WSIS+10 which is an extended version of the WSIS Forum. The event seeks to review the progress made in the implementation of the WSIS outcomes./end
