MONGOLIAN AND ENGLISH MUSICIANS TO PERFORM BEATLES TRIBUTE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the celebration of the semi-centennial of Beatles music, Sharon Goldhawk of the International Women’s Association Mongolia (IWAM) has created a new event for cultural diplomacy in Mongolia: "Beatles Tribute Mongolia".
At the event English and Mongolian musicians and performers will sing live, unplugged and acoustic versions of songs of Beatles in tribute to the great band on June 15 in the Sant Asar bar and Lounge. During the event, the Beatles tribute raffle or auction is expected to take place among the audience.
The organizers are recommending the audiences to dress in Bohemian 1960’s style in order to feel the atmosphere better. Proceeds of the event will go to support IWAM charity projects helping vulnerable women and children.
The Beatles were an English rock band that formed in Liverpool, in 1960. With John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the greatest and most influential act of the rock era.
In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as their songwriting grew in sophistication they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the era's sociocultural revolutions.
