Lavrov stresses need to prevent bloodshed in Ukraine as soon as possible

MOSCOW, June 18 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has emphasised the urgent need for early termination of the bloodshed in Ukraine. Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius on Wednesday to discuss the unrest in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry says. The conversation was held on France’s initiative, the ministry says. “The foreign ministers of both countries also discussed issues related to preparations for Russia’s-drafted possible resolution over Ukraine in the U.N.
