Kazakh diplomats perform meaningful work to promote the interests of the state - Nazarbayev

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov, the press service of Akorda informs. Y.Idrissov reported to the President on the main outcomes of the Foreign Ministry in the first half of 2014. He also spoke about the ongoing work on the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level. Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Kazakh diplomats with the upcoming professional holiday - Day of the Diplomatic Service, noting that they do meaningful work to promote the interests of the state, protect Kazakhstan citizens and establish relations with foreign countries. Foreign Minister Mr. Idrissov reported on the prospects of Kazakhstan's candidacy for non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-18 years, as well as the implementation of other foreign policy priorities. Following the meeting, the Head of State has given a number of specific instructions on the basic directions of the ministry.
