Heavy rain continues in Ranong

RANONG, July 6 (TNA) - Heavy rain continues in the southern resort province of Ranong on Sunday as the national park there has closed three popular tourist destinations until November for the safety of visitors. People opted to stay home due to torrential rain. Besides the drop in sales at the provincial market, the number of tourists also declined. Vikran Tuaduang, chief of Laem Son National Park, said the park has closed three popular tourist destinations including Kam Island, Kao Kwai Bay and Kang Kao Island since May16 until November 15 for the safety of tourists due to heavy rain in the areas. Boat operators taking tourists to the three spots have been asked not to provide services to tourists during the period. (TNA)
